As a district, we are committed to “Develop within each student the necessary skills” needed to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. To do that, we implement a rigorous, standards-based curriculum that emphasizes high expectations, inquiry, differentiation, and enrichment.

We use standards to guide our instruction and assessment. They provide teachers with clear benchmarks for learning. Standards describe what students should know and be able to do—the teachers, our experts in the classrooms, determine the best way to utilize resources and strategies to achieve the learning.  Assessments inform instructional decision-making and through Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s), teachers collaborate with one another to provide every child with opportunities to be successful and grow.
