If you have a child who turns 3, 4, or 5 by September 1st, bring them to the David Head Center today before 6:30pm, or tomorrow between 9am and 3:30pm to get registered for preschool, Pre-K, T-K or Kindergarten. Bring your child's proof of birth, and we have everything they need to get them registered and ready to start school TODAY. Plus FUN and FREE activities for children, snacks, bounce houses, prizes and MORE!!! We can't wait to see you here!

Your child will leave ready for a bright future, PLUS they'll get a FREE school shirt and supply pack, physicals, immunizations, dental screenings, children's activities and bounce houses, resources for your family, healthy recipes, and MORE! We'll be at the David Head Center here in Lamont on April 9th from 9:30am-6:30pm, and on April 10th from 9:30am-3:30pm.

It’s been one year since Lamont Elementary School District launched our Telehealth Wellness Centers, and what a difference they have made! Hundreds of our students have received care from our Wellness Centers, and more than one-third of those students received extended care to support their health. We are so excited to keep growing this initiative to support the well-being of our students.
Ha pasado un año desde que el Distrito Escolar Primario de Lamont puso en marcha nuestros Centros de Telehealth Wellness, ¡y qué diferencia han marcado! Cientos de nuestros estudiantes han recibido atención de nuestros Centros de Bienestar, y más de un tercio de esos estudiantes recibieron atención extendida para apoyar su salud. Estamos muy contentos de seguir creciendo esta iniciativa para apoyar el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes.

There will be a FREE Bulky Waste Collection Event coming to Lamont in March!
Residents can drive in and drop off furniture, mattresses, tires without rims, appliances and hot water heaters, TVs and E-waste for free at the Lamont Library on Saturday, March 16th from 8am to noon.

In Lamont Elementary School District, we know that children do best in school where they can learn, grow, and succeed! That’s why we want every child and parent to know that KIDS BELONG IN SCHOOL unless they’re too sick to learn, or if they could get other children or staff at school sick. We know the future and outcomes we want for our students, and being here is critical for our learners to be able to achieve these. Also, children can suffer academically even if they miss just one or two days a month, which can add up before you know it. That’s why this February, we’re asking all staff, parents, and our community to focus on helping ensure that EVERY child is in school, where they belong, every day! Please help us by letting all of our learners know that you are glad they are in school. When they miss, let them know what they missed out on and encourage them to only miss when they absolutely have to. And let them know that if they need help getting to school every day, our schools and Family Resource & Learning Center have resources to help them. Thanks for all you do to get our kids in school this month, and every month! #WeAreLESD
En el Distrito Escolar Primario de Lamont, ¡sabemos que los niños están mejor en la escuela donde pueden aprender, crecer y tener éxito! Por eso queremos que todos los niños y padres sepan que LOS NIÑOS PERTENECEN EN LA ESCUELA a menos que estén demasiado enfermos para aprender, o si pudieran enfermar a otros niños o al personal de la escuela. Conocemos el futuro y los resultados que queremos para nuestros alumnos, y estar aquí es fundamental para que puedan conseguirlos. Además, los niños pueden sufrir académicamente incluso si faltan sólo uno o dos días al mes, lo que puede sumar antes de que te des cuenta. Por eso, este mes de febrero, pedimos a todo el personal, a los padres y a nuestra comunidad que se centren en ayudar a garantizar que TODOS los niños estén en la escuela, donde deben estar, todos los días. Por favor, ayúdenos haciendo saber a todos nuestros alumnos que se alegra de que estén en la escuela.
